Wow I just want to forget all about this conversation ... and this came to mind ...

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=h9mioHO4hoM

Ted: That's right. That's - that's good. That's good. Unless, of course, somebody comes up with 6-Minute Abs. Then you're in trouble, huh?
[Hitchhiker convulses]
Hitchhiker: 7's the key number here. Think about it. 7-Elevens. 7 dwarves. 7, man, that's the number. 7 chipmunks twirlin' on a branch, eatin' lots of sunflowers on my uncle's ranch. You know that old children's tale from the sea. It's like you're dreamin' about Gorgonzola cheese when it's clearly Brie time, baby. Step into my office.
Ted: Why?
Hitchhiker: 'Cause you're #$%@' fired!

Liberal? Really? lol...

Let's see, I can't remember who I voted for in the last few presidential elections.....oh wait, yes I do!!! It was Ross Perot in the 90's and Ron Paul in the latest one. I guess that makes me a liberal? lol...

But, that's neither here nor there. The point is this; I busted my *** building the god damned models. Some of them have over 6 months of almost continuous work in them. You're damned right I'm entitled. I'm the one that did all the work.

I don't want to be "worshiped". I want some god damned respect. If you want a track that you can do anything you want with, get off your *** and build it yourself. Otherwise, they're mine. I own them. I gave them out for free to be used for free. It's my wishes and they should be respected.

If you guys want to have a paid race then you can petition Bryan to have one. That's why the tracks were posted here at Boz and not some other site. To promote this site. I'm not even a member of the BOZ development team anymore but, they're the only ones that I would want to do something like this in the sprints unless the OHM/DSI guys decided to throw their hats into the ring, also.

This is why I'm basically the last dirt track developer left standing, folks. Some of you have **** in the faces of all of the other ones and ruined it for everybody. Imagine if you'd been respectfull to all of them in the past. Trust me, a track maker doesn't quit because they don't want to do it anymore. They quit because people walk on them and treat them like **** all the time.

It get's old real quick.

Ok. This is not what I planned to start. But I understand where ur coming from. I really do. But I don't know if you did read the post by Kirby where he said that a fair portion should go to you BOZ boys. And I agreed it should. If this were to develop further would that be ok with you? I understand all the free is free stuff but I just haven't looked at this post in a while, and it has spiraled out of control. It was just me and a bracket racing buddy talkin. And I didn't know if you guys knew about this kind of stuff. But if you want to let us use your track, thats great. If you don't thats fine too. It was just an idea. No need to rip people's nuts off here. :surrender:

Well just to make it clear, the "Boz Boys" haven't asked for anything. Make sure you know who they are.

Mike, sorry it got out of control. I'm sure that you didn't mean for it to get that way.

I've found out in the past that when money gets involved things tend to get ugly. I want no part in that sort of thing. The reason that I prefer that if something like this would happen that it would be in Bryan's hands. He has the structure to make sure that it gets done correctly and would keep it from turning into a fiasco. That's not to say that your efforts would fail. It just means that I know and am confident in what Bryan has established, despite our differences in opinion on league issues.

As far as kicking back something to the "Boz boys". Donate money to the boz site for servers ect. ect... I'm sure that Bryan would appreciate it. He's paying for this stuff out of his own pocket.

I, on the other hand, want absolutely nothing in return and will accept nothing. I've been offered money for track models ect. in the past but, I've always refused it and always will. All that I want is for people to respect the work that I do and to enjoy the work for free. Ofcourse, if I ever get the opportunity to do something like this for a living(extremely unlikely) that will change.

My advice, start a league and invite all of your buddies to race with you. It doesn't matter if there are 10 of you or 100. If you're having some good races that's all that matters.

:signs011: I wish I could only be half as good as Jason......I am learning on the fly, but I am sure that my model isn't a quarter as good as any JCR models.

I always thought sim racing was just a hobby and we all did it for fun and not to win money or anything like that. Sim racing isnt a profession, its not something you do to make a living, its just for fun and a hobby and i think we should keep it that way. :weirdthread:

It still is fun. It happens a lot. And if you can name ONE pro sim racer. Please do so. It is just to see who was interested and I really have nothing else to say. I thought that if some one thinks they are good enough, to literally put there money where their mouth is, and let the hitters of the mod come out for a couple bucks. Nbd in all reality. JMHO. :thanks:

NASCAR iRacing World Championship Series. About 30 full time drivers competing to win $10,000. And no not iRacing credits, legit 10 grand. That's pro sim racing. It's also featured on nascar.com as a legit series with articles points stats and everything.

http://www.nascar.com/news/headlines/of ... standings/

Tell nascar they shouldn't throw out a huge purse for a sim racing series...................

I believe it's $10,000 in prizes, not cash. Being in iRacing doesn't make anyone better, just means you are willing to spend a few more bucks for not even the same experience as what is offered for free in rFactor.

From what i have been told it's money. And i never said anything about being better. He asked someone to name a professional sim racer. I did so. And as far as what your talking about as far as experience, that is why the experience with the NASCAR Sanctioned series is light years away from anything i have seen with leagues in rFactor besides some of the F1 Leagues that are virtually the same thing as iRacing. I'm sorry but i find it really awesome that if your good enough you can run a professional NASCAR Sanctioned sim series with real money involved, every race is broadcasted and published on nascar.com. I mean those guys are for real about that. The difference is credibility and being it's professionally ran and sanctioned. The option is there, it's your choice weather or not you wanna be apart of something like that. Ya know in my opinion i race leagues because i wanna race for real and not just play around, if you want to just play around there are open servers for that.
